useful tips for making the most out of your wedding dress alterations.

Always, always leave a good amount of room in your budget for alterations.
You should always have a minimum of $500 to $600 dollars in your budget for alterations. Also know that when you're shopping for your wedding dress, and you want to add something to a part of your body that you're really insecure about, bring it up to your consultant. You can always raise a neckline or add a sleeve.

Come prepared.
Make sure you show up to your appointment in the undergarments and shoes you'll be wearing on your wedding day — changing your bra last minute can completely change the fit of your dress.

Decide on any customization you'd like from the get-go.
If you want something special added it's always best to order the extra materials when you buy your dress. If you come back weeks later and want to add that same fabric it could come from different place and the color could be off. Also, ordering extra fabric takes just as long as ordering your dress because they often come from overseas, so make sure you do it all when you order your gown, not any later.
